Summary: The Finance Analyst role at Phoenix Group involves supporting the production and reporting of monthly management and annual statutory accounts for the group's service companies. The position requires collaboration with the MI Team and the wider Expenses team to ensure accurate financial reporting and reconciliation. The role is part of a 12-month fixed-term contract with flexible working arrangements available. Candidates should possess relevant accounting qualifications and strong analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the MI Team in producing and issuing an accurate ServCo entity MI pack monthly.
- Assist in the reconciliation of IFRS17 expenses with the Service Company ledger.
- Liaise with the Expenses team to understand key drivers of the expense position.
- Ensure the ServCo position is correct in the ledger monthly and reconcile numbers.
- Continuously improve MI reporting to meet evolving management requirements.
- Provide cover for other expense processes in the MI team as needed.
- Contribute to ad hoc projects and reporting deliverables.
Key Skills:
- Newly or part-qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA).
- Finance background with accounting/technical experience.
- Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Good degree of computer literacy, particularly in MS Office (Excel), General Ledgers.
- Familiarity with Oracle Cloud ledger and EPBCS is advantageous.
- Flexible and varied approach to workload.
- Focus on controls and systems is an advantage.
- High degree of initiative and ability to work autonomously.
- Understanding of the Service Company business model is advantageous.
