Finance Analyst

Summary: The Finance Analyst role is a 6-month fixed-term contract based in Birmingham, focusing on the development and production of management reporting within a shared services environment. The position involves supporting the Reporting Manager by providing financial data and reports, extracting data from various systems, and developing a robust reporting structure. The successful candidate will work closely with multiple teams to enhance decision-making through insightful analysis and stakeholder management. Key Responsibilities:

• Support the provision of financial data and reports to all functions within SSC.
• Extract data from various financial & non-financial systems.
• Work closely with multiple divisions to develop a reporting structure that includes self-service and automatic report distribution.
• Monitor performance metrics, balanced scorecards & information that highlights SSC activities.
• Provide insight and analysis to support Management decision making.
• Understand the key processes within the SSC and embed internal controls & SOX compliance mindset.
• Assist in stakeholder management across SSC ensuring effective approach is developed & implemented.

Key Skills:

• Substantial experience in a shared services environment.
• Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Excel and Visual Basic skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships within Finance and across business segments supported.
• Openness to new and innovative ways of working.
• Knowledge of CI activity & techniques.
• Experience of working with Six Sigma or other similar continuous improvement models.
• Strong interpersonal skills and confidence dealing with people at different levels throughout the organisation.
• Flexible approach adaptable to a changing working environment.
