The Opportunity

The Branded Business Unit (BBU) is at the heart of William Grant & Sons, and is responsible for the development, growth, and sale of our award-winning brands to customers globally. The FP&A team sits in the centre of this business unit and provides reporting, forecasting and business partnering with central commercial and functional teams as well as offering analysis and insight on the consolidated business unit. Please note this is a 6-month FTC.

What you will be doing

You will be delivering high quality, accurate reporting to BBU leadership teams to enhance decision making and drive growth. Utilising various WG&S systems and data sources, together with narrative information gathered via strong relationship across the BU, you will explain business actual and forecast performance to stakeholders. You will support the implementation of William Grant Way initiatives, including helping the business unit to thrive under the internal markets operating model, developing improved automation of the business reporting rhythm and building further capability within the wider finance teams. Key to success is mastery of the WG&S data systems, experience in building useful and clear reporting, the ability to spot trends and anomalies in data and to having a strong understanding of how to drive business financial performance. The FP&A Analyst will build a strong understanding of the business dynamics in the regions and use that insight to support analysis of the business unit performance.

About you

You will be a qualified / part qualified accountant with FP&A experience and strong excel skills, ideally with PowerBI and Power Query experience. You will be able to work autonomously when required but be comfortable playing an active role in supporting others to deliver larger projects. You will also be confident in your abilities to communicate (both verbal and written) well with and build rapport with stakeholders and leaders across the business and be able to establish positive working relationships with individuals across the globe, remotely.
