Summary: The Finance Analyst role involves providing comprehensive financial analysis to support a North West based business within a global group. The position focuses on analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and implementing processes to contribute to the company's growth strategy. Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse and interpret historical and current financial data to understand the Company’s financial status.
- Perform trend analysis from historical performance, forecast future performance, and provide actionable insights for operational efficiency.
- Prepare requests for both financial and non-financial information and adhere to group requirements for consolidation.
- Analyse existing processes to identify gaps and collaborate with relevant departments to implement and improve processes and enable data capture.
- Prepare reports and financial information to ensure compliance with internal audit requirements.
- Create and implement performance reporting across both manufacturing and assembly sites and liaise with department leaders suggesting improvements.
- Establish policies and procedures for cost analysis and recommend actions to senior management and departmental leaders.
- Develop automated accounting programs to help increase productivity and business efficiency.
- Develop financial models to support planning, budgeting, and forecasting, through aggregating and interpreting large amounts of complex data.
Key Skills:
- Chartered Accountant CIMA, ACCA or equivalent qualification is required.
- Proficiency in spreadsheets, large datasets, database management is necessary. Knowledge of SAP Business One is highly desirable.
- Excellent reporting, presenting, and communication skills are needed.
- Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles is required.
- Strategic thinking and organisational skills are crucial.
- Proven analytical and financial modelling skills are necessary.
- Experience conducting reviews and evaluations to produce cause-and-effect reports is beneficial.
- Ability to produce accurate reports to specific deadlines is essential.
