Role: Finance Analyst - Temporary
Our client is seeking a commercially minded Finance Analyst to join their growing finance team. This role offers the opportunity to partner with multiple business functions, provide impactful financial analysis, support strategic decision-making and contribute to forecasting and planning activities across an international fashion brand.
The successful candidate will play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and performance analysis while supporting senior stakeholders with valuable commercial insights.
Financial Planning & Forecasting
- Support long-term forecasting activities, including annual budget planning and growth strategies.
- Own the monthly forecasting process, including financial projections, reporting templates, data validation and reconciliations.
- Evaluate actual performance against forecasts and provide detailed variance analysis, highlighting key risks and opportunities.
- Deliver country and channel-level forecasting and analysis, working closely with operational and planning teams to identify trends and recommend commercial actions.
Business Partnering & Analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to provide financial insights and support business decision-making.
- Supply financial data and analysis to support strategic projects and presentations.
- Conduct financial simulations, scenario planning, and business case evaluations for investment opportunities.
- Provide guidance on financial systems, reporting, and processes across the business.
- Perform ad hoc analysis to support operational and strategic initiatives.
Financial Reporting
- Assist with statutory reporting requirements and other external reporting obligations.
- Support impairment testing processes and quarterly reporting activities.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial information and reporting outputs.
Essential
- Previous experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and business planning.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into meaningful business insights.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and able to clearly articulate risks, opportunities, and recommendations.
Desirable
- Experience within Retail, Consumer Goods or FMCG sectors.
- Exposure to financial planning and reporting systems such as Hyperion.
- Experience working within a large international or multi-channel organisation.
