Summary: As a Finance Analyst in the Account to Report team at Sky, you will play a crucial role in delivering accounting and reporting services to Commercial Finance customers across multiple locations. Your responsibilities will include managing P&L and Balance Sheet accounts, leading financial calls, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
- Performance of period end close activities, providing insightful and accurate reporting.
- Deliver more complex pieces of work and support projects where appropriate.
- Manage P&L and Balance Sheet accounts, reconciling balances in line with Sky's policies.
- Lead all P&L and BS calls with Commercial Finance for your area.
- Build lasting relationships with key stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement projects such as report automation and standardisation.
- Assist with internal and external audit queries, liaising directly with auditors.
- Have end-to-end ownership of a set of Statutory Accounts.
- Ensure that controls are designed and operating effectively.
- Engage in ad-hoc project work as required.
Key Skills:
- Experience as a Finance Analyst in a large organisation.
- Self-motivated and conscientious team player.
- Ability to work within the GL team on an end-to-end area with minimal support.
- Track record of delivering continuous improvement.
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Good problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail.
- SAP system knowledge is desirable.
- Studying towards a professional accountancy qualification is ideal.
