Day-to-day of the role:
- Plan and deliver high-quality teaching across Visual Arts programmes, focusing on Film, Graphics, and Photography.
- Assess and track student progress using both formative and summative methods.
- Provide pastoral and tutorial support to learners.
- Contribute to course development and curriculum planning.
- Support enrichment activities, including trips and employer engagement.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and achievement.
- Promote safeguarding, equality, and positive student behaviour.
Required Skills & Qualifications:: Essential:
- Degree in a Visual Arts-related subject.
- Experience teaching or working with 16–19 learners.
- Strong practical skills across Visual Arts disciplines.
- Ability to deliver engaging, high-quality teaching and assessment.
- Understanding of safeguarding and supporting young people.
Desirable:
- Teaching qualification (or working towards one).
- Industry experience in Film, Media, Graphics, or Photography.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Experience supporting student progress, attendance, and wellbeing.
