Summary: Our client is seeking experienced Field Service Technicians to support the deployment of advanced systems at customer installation sites, specifically for Air Traffic Control (ATC) products. The role involves coordinating, managing, and executing system installations while ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction. Technicians will be required to travel extensively, with up to 95% of the time spent on domestic and occasional international travel. Candidates must reside within commuting distance of a major international airport.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site surveys and perform installation and repairs of equipment/systems to meet Client's performance standards
- Diagnose malfunctions, perform repairs, and execute preventative maintenance
- Provide remote customer support and resolve service tickets in the system
- Participate in a rotating 24/7 on-call schedule, including on-demand travel
- Interpret complex system architectures for effective diagnostics
- Read and apply blueprints, specifications, and electrical schematics for installations
- Represent Client in a professional support role, ensuring customer satisfaction
- Prepare accurate daily logs and reports of time and inventory used
- Work independently on moderately complex assignments
- Maintain strong communication with customers in a professional environment
Key Skills:
- 4+ years of experience in systems repair, maintenance, and installation (telecom cabling experience a plus)
- Familiarity with ATC systems installation and service is preferred
- Proven experience conducting site surveys
- Hands-on experience with electrical, mechanical, and construction projects
- Strong understanding of IP networking and configuration
- Basic knowledge of RF concepts and equipment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ticketing systems
- Able to lift up to 75 pounds (loading/unloading equipment and materials)
- Willingness to travel extensively and work non-standard hours, including weekends and holidays
- Must reside within commuting distance of a major U.S. commercial service airport
- U.S. Person with ability to obtain FAA Public Trust clearance and pass a government background check
