Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide mechanical maintenance, commissioning, and servicing support at customer sites (UK and overseas)
  • Perform completion checks, FAT, leak and pressure tests, and loop testing
  • Prepare work packs and compile technical service reports
  • Conduct aftersales inspections and provide technical support to customers
  • Maintain documentation using Microsoft Office
  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards
  • Collaborate with engineering and internal support teams

Key Skills:

  • Recognised mechanical engineering apprenticeship (C&G, ONC, or HNC)
  • CSCS card (or ability to obtain one)
  • Experience in HGV or Heavy Plant Engineering preferred
  • Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings
  • Hands-on experience with pumps, rotating equipment, pressure, and vacuum systems
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively, including internationally
  • Understanding of sewage and industrial systems (desirable)
  • Familiarity with wastewater industry standards (desirable)
  • Strong communication and time management skills

Field Service Technician - Permanent Role

Location: Manchester (UK & Overseas Travel Required)

Salary: £35,000 - £36,500 per annum + £50/day per diem for travel

Positions Available: 2

Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for two Field Service Technicians to join their Manchester-based service team working within sewage/industrial systems. This role would be ideal for technically skilled engineers with HGV and Heavy Plant Engineering Experience. They will need to be available for travel at short notice across the UK and internationally, providing vital support in servicing, maintenance, and commissioning of equipment.
