Summary: The Sales Representative role involves engaging with Higher Education institutions in the North East of England to provide tailored print and digital solutions. This position requires building relationships with university staff and supporting their transition to digital learning over a 12-month fixed term. The role includes executing account strategies, delivering product demonstrations, and managing sales proposals. It is a remote/field-based position with frequent campus visits and occasional overnight stays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute the account strategy to optimise sales of digital and print products in Higher Education institutions.
- Identify and prioritise target modules in key accounts.
- Promote products to Module Leaders, Course Directors, and Heads of Departments.
- Support institutions in transitioning from print products to digital services.
- Ensure timely delivery of digital products to modules.
- Encourage effective use of products, increasing digital registrations and managing print returns.
- Drive growth in key accounts year on year.
- Analyse pipeline data and other sales insights to guide Account Team activities.
- Prepare and deliver accurate sales proposals at the module level.
- Conduct negotiations to secure agreements and finalise sales.
- Deliver engaging product demonstrations aligned with teaching and learning needs.
- Maintain up-to-date records of contacts, calls, and opportunities in the CRM system.
- Use CRM insights for sales planning, territory management, market analysis, and forecasting.
- Provide regular sales reports as required by the Regional Sales Manager and senior leadership.
- Collaborate with colleagues across sales and other functions to develop long-term engagements in key accounts.
