Summary: The Field Operator role involves monitoring and optimizing well production, pipeline systems, and facilities while reporting to the Production Foreman. Responsibilities include troubleshooting equipment issues, performing maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The position requires collaboration with various teams and effective communication to enhance production efficiency. Candidates should possess significant experience in the oil and gas industry and relevant certifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to and engage in safety protocols including hazard identification, equipment lock-out and emergency response and comply with environmental, safety and regulatory requirements, taking corrective action as required
  • Troubleshoot equipment problems and perform minor repairs and servicing
  • Identify and implement opportunities to increase production through optimization of wells, gathering systems and facilities
  • Responsible for the start up or shut down of wells, facilities and equipment working closely with our IOC (Integrated Operations Center)
  • Showcase competency with various artificial lift techniques, such as gaslift and pumpjack operation
  • Operate, optimize, and troubleshoot compression and fluid pumps
  • Communicate with operations, maintenance, construction, engineering and management staff
  • Conduct daily accurate production accounting and ensure daily/weekly/monthly reports are accurately completed and archived
  • Manage work/activities on your sites to ensure safe and reliable work execution

Key Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years of Operating, Instrumentation, Electrical or Mechanical Journeyperson Oil and Gas industry experience
  • Minimum Grade 12 education with preference given to GPO A-D, PFO A-D certification, Power Engineering Diploma, Journeyperson Certification, Engineering Degree or Technology Diploma
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license
  • Developed Computer skills; including Microsoft Office, PVR, PIVision, ClearScada etc.
