Summary: The Field Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining field systems to ensure safe and efficient production. This role involves performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting field issues, and escalating non-routine problems to higher management. The operator will also adhere to safety and environmental practices while documenting operations and collaborating with team members. The position requires a minimum of two years of industry experience and relevant certifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to safety standards, wear protective gear, and maintain clean, hazard-free work sites.
- Ensure environmental compliance and clean up minor spills.
- Operate and monitor field systems, including flow rates, pressure readings, and well conditions.
- Perform pigging and purging operations, troubleshoot equipment, and ensure safe system operation.
- Complete monthly field reports, track battery production, and document routine operations.
- Troubleshoot field instruments and report faulty equipment.
- Coordinate field repairs and modifications, monitor contractor services, and ensure adherence to safety procedures.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to address issues and plan activities.
- Participate in team development and raise safety concerns.
Key Skills:
- Completed Operator 4 (Op 4) Solis certification.
- Minimum of Grade 12 education.
- Minimum of 2 years industry experience operating and maintaining field systems.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and SCADA systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and maintenance skills.
- Familiarity with chemical injection pumps, cathodic protection, and deep well facilities.
- Ability to work in challenging field conditions and adhere to safety regulations.
