Field Logistics & Training Operations Training Specialist

Summary: The Technical Training Specialist role focuses on supporting the planning, coordination, and delivery of training programs as part of an ERP transformation initiative. The position emphasizes training logistics, learner readiness, and efficient delivery of both instructor-led and virtual training sessions across various business groups. The specialist will also manage training materials, schedules, and act as a primary contact for facilities coordination. This role is hybrid, based in Pomona, CA, and requires strong organizational and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all logistical activities supporting Instructor-Led Training (ILT), Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT), and Collaborative Virtual Instructor-Led Training (CVILT).
  • Prepare training rooms and virtual environments, including seating layouts, audiovisual equipment, connectivity testing, accessibility readiness, and meal coordination.
  • Coordinate participant hardware including laptops, peripherals, system access, login credentials, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Prepare and manage training materials including attendance sheets, evaluations, job aids, quick reference guides, and supporting documentation.
  • Support training scheduling activities during peak delivery periods and maintain training calendars and associated metrics.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for facilities and venue coordination.
  • Support management of training-related budgets and operational expenses.
  • Track and resolve post-training follow-up items, including parking lot issues and action items.
  • Serve as Producer during Instructor-Led Training sessions, ensuring sessions run smoothly from an operational perspective.
  • Communicate site constraints, safety protocols, and operational considerations that may impact training delivery.
  • Partner closely with project teams, facilitators, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure successful training deployment.

Key Skills:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Five or more years of experience supporting business operations, organisational readiness, enterprise training, ERP implementations, or business transformation initiatives.
  • Experience coordinating training schedules for facilitators and end users while managing associated reporting and metrics.
  • Two or more years supporting training functions, including instructional design, training delivery, learning technologies, training coordination, or learning methodologies such as ADDIE or Kirkpatrick.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-wide training or organisational readiness programmes.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver organisational objectives.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to build relationships across all organisational levels.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Project or similar scheduling tools.
  • Familiarity with SAP and/or SAP S/4HANA environments and enterprise business processes.

Pay Rate:$37.22 per hour

Our client is seeking a Technical Training Specialist to support the planning, coordination, and delivery of enterprise-wide training programmes as part of a major ERP transformation initiative.

This role focuses on training logistics, learner readiness, scheduling support, facilities coordination, and ensuring instructor-led and virtual training sessions are delivered efficiently across multiple business groups.

  • Understanding of enterprise learning best practices and organisational readiness principles.
  • Experience working within Transmission & Distribution (T&D) or utility environments.
  • Strong organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
