Summary: The Field Engineer role involves providing technical support and customer service in the Scottish Highlands and Aberdeen area, focusing on the installation and commissioning of data networking equipment such as routers. The position requires strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of networking technologies. This is an initial 6-month contract position. The engineer will interact with various clients, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel to customer sites to install and commission new Routers.
- Set up bridge calls with the commissioning team for testing and validation.
- Remove old equipment after successful installation of new Routers.
- Provide excellent customer service to a variety of clients including doctors, chemists, dentists, schools, government buildings, hospitals, and emergency services.
Key Skills:
- Competent analytical skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Knowledge of data networking, including Switches and Routers.
- Experience with cabling, Routers, Switches, laptops, and rack and stack.
- Own car and mobile phone required.
