Summary: We are looking for a skilled Field Engineer specializing in hardware break/fix support for HP and Lenovo devices. The role requires extensive fieldwork with over 50% daily travel and a strong focus on hardware diagnostics and repairs. Candidates must have proven hands-on experience and the ability to work independently in a field-based environment. This is not a deskside support position; only those with significant hardware repair experience will be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshooting, diagnosing, installing, maintaining, and repairing designated HP & Lenovo desktop and laptop hardware.
  • Performing advanced hardware diagnostics and break/fix repairs.
  • Responding to customer service requests professionally and efficiently.
  • Maintaining and monitoring daily communication tools (phone, voicemail, email).
  • Keeping administrative responsibilities up to date, including documentation and reporting to support departments.
  • Ensuring best practice standards and practical problem-solving approaches are followed at all times.
  • Maintaining tools and test equipment in good working order.
  • Adhering strictly to parts processes and company procedures.
  • Utilizing escalation and support processes to resolve service delivery issues.
  • Working independently in the field with minimal supervision.
  • Lifting and carrying parts and equipment weighing up to 25 kg.
  • Extended periods of driving and travel within the PE & CB postal areas.

Key Skills:

  • Minimum 3 years' proven experience diagnosing and repairing desktop and laptop hardware (HP & Lenovo preferred).
  • Strong hardware troubleshooting and break/fix repair experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently diagnose motherboard, storage, memory, PSU, and other hardware component failures.
  • Experience responding effectively to customer concerns and service requests.
  • Ability to work predominantly independently in a field-based environment.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively (50%+ daily travel).
  • Physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 25 kg.

This role involves extensive fieldwork with 50%+ daily travel, so flexibility and willingness to travel is mandatory.
