What you'll do
- Deliver practical studio sessions and theory/contextual studies in your specialist area(s)
- Assess learner work and portfolios, and prepare them for exhibitions and submissions
- Maintain safe, well-organised studios in line with health and safety and COSHH requirements
- Support learner progress, attendance and wellbeing as a personal tutor
- Keep course content current with creative practice and awarding body requirements (e.g. UAL, BTEC, A Level)
What you'll need
- Degree, HND or equivalent Level 4+ qualification in a relevant creative discipline
- Recent hands-on practice as an artist, designer, photographer or maker, with a strong portfolio
- GCSE/Level 2 English & Maths, or willingness to achieve this
- A teaching qualification (DET/PGCE/Cert Ed), or willingness to work towards one
- Enhanced DBS check (required for the role)
- Nice to have: Assessor award (TAQA/A1), postgraduate creative qualification (MA), track record of exhibiting or publishing work.
