Summary: The Family Contact Worker role involves working directly with vulnerable children and young people aged 0-16 and their families to facilitate supervised contact sessions. The position is based in Trafford and requires the worker to ensure the safeguarding of children during these interactions. Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitating family contact sessions, conducting home visits, and working directly with children.
- Plan and hold contact sessions for cases children and young people who are looked after by the Local Authority in either the Contact Centre in Trafford, in the community, or outside of the borough as required.
- Organise and co-ordinate contacts activities e.g. cinema within the community ensuring that appropriate Risk Assessments are in place and adhered to.
- Attend Court to give evidence on the nature of contact sessions, the level of attachment and the relationship between the child and parent/significant other when required.
Key Skills:
- Relevant Level 3 qualification (e.g., NNEB, NVQ3, BTEC, Early Years, Childcare, Health and Social Care, Youth and Community Studies).

We are collaborating with a Local Authority in Trafford, as they are in search of a Family Contact Worker to join their Children and Families Team!
