Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct First Article Inspection (FAI) activities to verify products meet all specified requirements and standards.
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to resolve non-conformances identified during FAI processes.
- Maintain accurate records of inspection results and prepare detailed reports for compliance and audits.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on manufacturing and quality issues.
- Ensure all activities comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
- Assist in developing and reviewing inspection procedures and work instructions.
- Participate in internal and external audits related to quality assurance.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in First Article Inspection within aerospace, defence, or high-precision manufacturing sectors.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of standards such as AS9100, ISO 9001, and aerospace quality requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills to identify discrepancies.
- Proficiency with inspection tools including CMM, calipers, and micrometers.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Certifications like AS9102 FAI Certification are highly desirable.
- Ability to interpret technical data and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
