Summary: The Factory Accountant role at a family-owned manufacturing business in Deeside, North Wales, involves leading improvements in financial processes and reporting within the manufacturing operations.   • Work closely with stores team regarding stock management and reporting.
  • Fixed Asset management including assisting with investment business case creation and physical asset audits periodically.
  • Develop management reporting improvements, assist with budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparation.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Help ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.
  • Drive process improvement in all job role areas.

As a family-owned business, we manufacture performance door-sets and architectural hardware from our 96,000 square foot manufacturing facility in North Wales. With offices also in Glasgow, Aberdeen, and Nottingham we have a commercial presence UK wide. Based in our Welsh site in Deeside, we are currently seeking an experienced Factory Accountant to join our finance team on an FTC and lead on several improvements in our processes and reporting of the manufacturing operations. You will be experienced in cost accounting and have an ability to drive change whilst supporting the business in sharing strong analytical and commercial data to aid the decision-making process. This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with a number of non-financial stakeholders. As Factory Accountant, you will be responsible for a managing and controlling various parts of the Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet. This role, whilst based in North Wales, will require travel across our UK sites. The position is offered initially on a 12/18 months fixed term contract basis.
