Summary: The Facility Procurement Professional role at PE Global involves managing procurement processes for a leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment in Peterlee. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support delivery of a lean, responsive, and resilient material and services flow for the facility.
  • Identify opportunities for cost and inventory reductions and quality improvements.
  • Operate and monitor supply network procurement functions to meet defined targets.
  • Collaborate with business partners and suppliers to resolve facility-specific supplier issues.

Key Skills:

  • Direct material procurement experience.
  • SAP experience.
  • Procurement experience in a similar environment.
  • SAP/MACH1 experience is advantageous.

Salary (Rate): £25.85 hourly

Detailed Description From Employer:

PE Global is currently recruiting for a Facility Procurement Professional for a leading multi-national manufacturer of construction and mining equipment client based in Peterlee. This is an initial 12 months contract position working on site 5 days a week. Pay rate is £25.85ph PAYE or £34.93ph Umbrella

Duties of the role/Responsibilities

  • Supporting delivery of a lean, responsive, and resilient material and services flow for the facility from source to dock and additional required points.
  • Recognising the potential for cost and inventory reductions, and quality improvement, as well as responsibility for soundness of business proposals and risk assessment and then work with the correct internal teams to deliver.
  • Operating and monitoring the supply network procurement functions to meet the defined response time, cost, quality, and lean targets enabling optimal and efficient facility operations.
  • Collaborating with business partners and suppliers and resolving facility specific supplier issues.

Education/Experience

  • Direct material procurement experience
  • SAP experience
  • Procurement experience in a similar environment
  • SAP/MACH1 experience in advantageous
