Summary: The Facilities Project Engineer role at PE Global involves managing facility building projects for a leading multi-national manufacturing client in Stafford. This position is a 6-month contract requiring on-site work with flexible hours, including weekends as needed. The engineer will be responsible for ensuring project deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are met while coordinating with various stakeholders. Candidates should have relevant engineering experience and strong project management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivery of facility building projects ensuring deadlines, budget and quality are met.
- Delivery of facility building systems projects.
- Report project status at key milestones to facility and business stakeholders.
- Responsible for supporting and contributing to safety targets, revenue costs, quality, and performance.
- Develop clear project scopes, schedules, and cost estimates aligned with business and operational requirements.
- Ensure project documentation is complete (scope, drawings, permits, RAMS).
- Support procurement activities, including contractor selection and technical evaluations.
- Coordinate contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely execution.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Lead final inspections, snag lists, commissioning, and handover to operations.
Key Skills:
- Engineering, civils and construction industry experience.
- Experience in a similar position with delivery of facility building projects.
- Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics.
- Understanding of risk and safety requirements.
- Knowledge of relevant compliance requirements.
- Strong communication skills.
- IOSH Managing Safety certification is advantageous.
- IPAF MEWP For Managers is advantageous.
- Ability to work with a diverse group of employees and customers.

PE Global is currently recruiting for a Facilities Project Engineer for a leading multi-national manufacturing client based in Stafford. This is a 6 month contract position working fully on site in Stafford. Working hours Monday - Thursday 6:45 am to 4:30 pm. Required some flexibility with weekends and out of hours work when required. Pay rate is £22.06ph PAYE or £29.94ph Umbrella.
Duties of the role/Responsibilities

- Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.
- Understanding Risk and Safety requirements
- Knowledge of relevant Compliance requirements.
- Strong communication skills.
- IOSH Managing Safety certification is advantageous
- IPAF MEWP For Managers is advantageous
- Ability to work with a diverse group of employees and customers.
