Summary: The Facilities Manager (Hard Services) role involves overseeing the operational elements of Hard Services contracts for a large local government organization. The position requires ensuring compliance with contract requirements, providing technical leadership, and supporting the development of effective property management strategies. This is a three-month contract that may be extended for the right candidate, with a focus on maintaining safety and service quality. NEBOSH or equivalent certification is essential for this role, which is classified as inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and monitor operational elements of Hard Services contracts for compliance and efficiency.
- Act as the technical point of contact for Service Providers to resolve escalated issues and provide advice.
- Support planning and coordination of the Council’s reactive technical maintenance delivery.
- Ensure safe service delivery through monitoring and implementing safe work processes.
- Conduct regular audits of buildings and processes to identify service delivery issues.
- Provide regular service reporting to stakeholders regarding performance and improvement areas.
- Liaise with other Council areas to ensure policy compliance and governance implementation.
- Develop and implement contractor performance and procurement strategies.
- Monitor Service Providers to ensure high-quality service delivery and value for money.
- Provide technical leadership to support the facilities strategy development and implementation.
- Develop policies and procedures for Operational Property and Facilities Management.
Key Skills:
- NEBOSH or equivalent certification.
- Experience in facilities management, specifically in Hard Services.
- Strong technical leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to monitor and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in developing and implementing procurement strategies.
