Summary: The Facilities Engineer at Bentley Motors will be integral to the Production Planning team, focusing on designing and delivering jigs, fixtures, and tooling solutions to support the company's electrification strategy. This role involves collaboration with various departments to ensure the successful implementation of facilities and equipment while maintaining compliance with legal standards. The position offers flexible hybrid working arrangements and is part of a transformative phase in Bentley's history. The engineer will report to the Senior Process Planning Manager and contribute to the company's commitment to sustainable luxury mobility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce designs for jigs and fixtures.
- Develop and implement facilities, equipment, and technologies in line with approved investment levels.
- Manage procurement of jigs, fixtures, and tooling from solution identification to equipment handover.
- Apply practical problem-solving techniques to deliver solutions and mitigate risks.
- Ensure continual updating of technical knowledge through collaboration and training.
- Ensure facilities comply with all legal statutes.
Key Skills:
- Experience in producing jig, fixture, or tooling designs using CAD, preferably CATIA.
- Knowledge of automotive engineering and vehicle build sequences.
- Experience in facilities project delivery and cross-functional collaboration.
- Preferred ONC/HNC/HND in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
