Summary: The Facade Manager will oversee the facade package for a 16-storey residential building in East London, ensuring high-quality delivery of elements such as SFS brickwork and balconies. This role requires strong project management skills and technical knowledge of facade construction, along with the ability to lead onsite teams and manage supplier relationships. The position is critical for maintaining compliance with building codes and health and safety regulations while delivering the project on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the facade package, ensuring the timely and high-quality delivery of the facade elements, including balconies and SFS brickwork.
  • Oversee all aspects of facade construction, including design coordination, materials procurement, and supplier management.
  • Lead and supervise onsite teams, subcontractors, and other stakeholders involved in the facade work.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work is completed to specification and in compliance with building codes, health and safety regulations, and environmental standards.
  • Monitor project progress, manage timelines, and ensure that the facade package is delivered within budget.
  • Ensure that quality control and risk management practices are followed to minimize defects and delays.
  • Act as the main point of contact for all facade-related queries and provide technical advice when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to the facade works, including reports, RFIs, and change orders.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Facade Manager or in a similar role, with significant experience overseeing facade packages in residential developments.
  • Strong technical knowledge of facade construction, including balconies and brickwork.
  • Experience with managing large-scale projects, particularly those involving high-rise buildings.
  • Excellent project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities, with the ability to coordinate multiple teams and stakeholders effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations, building codes, and quality control procedures.
