Summary: The role of F5 SME involves managing and troubleshooting F5 LTM and GTM platforms, with a focus on both on-premises and cloud environments. The position requires extensive experience in networking and hands-on expertise with F5 devices, as well as effective communication with various teams. The candidate will also be responsible for supporting deployments and migrations, including weekend work as needed. This is a contract position based in London, requiring on-site presence five days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, deploy, and troubleshoot F5 LTM and GTM platforms.
- Work on F5 design, migration, and deployment projects.
- Create and manage VIPs, Wide IPs, SSL certificates, SSL profiles, and pools.
- Write and debug F5 iRules.
- Perform F5 migrations to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or Oracle.
- Communicate effectively with various teams across the organization.
- Support weekend deployments/migrations when required.
Key Skills:
- 8+ years of hands-on experience with F5.
- Solid understanding of networking protocols (HTTP/HTTPS, TCP/IP, SSL, DNS, FTP, SNMP, etc.).
- Experience with cloud load balancing (AWS ELB, etc.).
- Scripting skills (Shell, PowerShell, Python).
- Familiarity with Fortinet firewalls, Zscaler, and Cisco routers/switches is a plus.
