Summary: Texo Recruitment is looking for experienced External Site Managers to oversee demolition, remediation, and external works on a significant multi-rise development in Southampton. This role is a 12-month contract aimed at professionals who can deliver complex external packages to a high standard. The position requires strong leadership and technical skills in managing external site operations. The start date is set for December or early January.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day external site operations, including demolition and remediation phases.
- Oversee subcontractors, ensuring safe working practices, programme adherence, and quality control.
- Lead site coordination for logistics, groundworks, facade preparation, and associated external activities.
- Implement and maintain strong H&S compliance across all areas of the site.
- Report project progress, manage documentation, and liaise with project managers and other stakeholders.
- Mitigate risks, resolve issues proactively, and support efficient delivery of all external works.
Key Skills:
- Proven background in multi-rise demolition and remediation.
- Strong technical understanding of demolition sequencing, remediation processes, and external construction packages.
- Demonstrable experience running fast-paced, high-risk external sites.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team coordination skills.
- SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid qualifications (preferred).
