Summary: Our client seeks an experienced External Reporting Manager for a 12-month fixed-term contract within their finance team, focusing on accurate financial, statutory, and regulatory reporting for a Luxembourg insurance entity. The role involves preparing financial statements, leading regulatory submissions, and enhancing reporting processes during a transitional period. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial reporting within insurance or financial services and possess excellent technical accounting skills. Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing and delivering monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements under Lux GAAP
- Leading CAA and Solvency II reporting submissions
- Conducting detailed ledger reviews, aged debt and FX analysis
- Acting as the main contact for external auditors
- Responding to regulatory queries and supporting audit processes
- Enhancing reporting processes, controls and automation
- Partnering with Finance, Risk, Actuarial, Tax and FP&A teams to ensure consistency and accuracy across reporting
Key Skills:
- Strong financial reporting experience within insurance or financial services
- Solid understanding of Lux GAAP and Luxembourg regulatory reporting (CAA)
- Experience with Solvency II reporting (advantageous)
- Strong technical accounting and analytical skills
- Advanced Excel capability
- Detail-oriented, proactive and solution-focused
- Confident communicator with the ability to manage stakeholders and auditors
