Executive Support Manager

Spencer Clarke Group are seeking an Executive Support Manager for a local authority in Southeast London.

In this role, you will provide strategic executive support to senior leaders, lead a high-performing support team, and ensure the effective coordination and delivery of key Directorate priorities across the Council.

Duties

  • Provide high-level support and advice to the Executive Director, enabling effective decision-making and delivery of priorities.
  • Lead and manage a team of Executive Support Officers, ensuring a responsive and efficient support service.
  • Coordinate meetings, briefings, reports and corporate activity to support the smooth running of the Directorate.
  • Build strong relationships across the Council, managing information, priorities and actions to drive effective outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience providing high-level administrative or executive support within a complex organisation.
  • Experience managing competing priorities and supporting senior leaders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience leading, motivating and developing a team to deliver high-quality services.
  • Experience preparing reports, briefings and communications for senior stakeholders.

What's on offer:

Salary: £30ph+

*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*

Contract type: 6 months minimum

Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
