Flexible Working

We are seeking an experienced administrator to join our Professional Services team in a role supporting the delivery of examinations within the Department. You will play a key part in ensuring that each part of the exams operations runs smoothly, including coordinating the setting of exam papers, supporting the marking and moderating process, and coordinating the provision of feedback to students on exam performance. This is an excellent opportunity for the right applicant to increase their knowledge in an important area of higher education administration in a collegial and supportive academic department. This is a 14-month fixed-term contract from 8 June 2026 to 13 August 2027. Applications from current University staff who wish to take the role on as a secondment are very welcome.

About You

You will be educated to A-Level standard or equivalent, with relevant experience in a student administration role, ideally within the higher education sector. As a highly organised person, with the ability to work to multiple deadlines with accuracy and impeccable attention to detail, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication skills, combined with the ability to build and manage effective relationships with all levels of staff are critical for this role. We have adopted hybrid working and professional services staff have the option to work from home for up to two days a week. However, this is dependent on business need and there may be a requirement to come to campus for more days during busier periods.
