Posted Today by WE Talent

About the opportunity

WE Talent are recruiting for an Events Programme Manager to oversee a high profile programme of events for an established London charity.

You’ll take ownership of the overall programme, from planning and coordination through to delivery and evaluation. You’ll build on arrangements already in place, with occasional support from colleagues where available.

Working closely with public affairs, marketing and programme teams, you’ll bring everything together during a busy period, including multiple events taking place on the same day. You’ll balance event demands with the charity’s ongoing programmes and day-to-day commitments.

The role

  • Maintain a central programme plan with clear owners and deadlines.
  • Coordinate event leads, speakers, venues, travel and briefings.
  • Track resources, dependencies, risks and changing priorities.
  • Balance event requirements with existing organisational commitments.
  • Confirm running orders, contingency plans and delivery readiness.
  • Coordinate safeguarding, accessibility and speaker care with specialist colleagues.
  • Keep senior colleagues informed and escalate decisions promptly.
  • Support delivery at London events and respond to changes.
  • Coordinate follow-up, evaluation and the programme review.

About you

  • Proven experience coordinating multiple events or concurrent workstreams.
  • Strong project planning, prioritisation and organisational skills.
  • Confident bringing teams together and keeping actions moving.
  • Clear communication and experience working with senior stakeholders.
  • Calm, flexible and practical during busy delivery periods.
  • Confident using Microsoft tools to plan, track and report.
  • Sound judgement when handling sensitive content and different audiences.
  • Experience coordinating education or public sector events would also be advantageous.

Remuneration and working arrangements

  • £45,000 per annum, pro rata for the contract duration.
  • Approximately four months: 9 November 2026 to 19 February 2027.
  • Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
  • London office with hybrid working and travel to events.
  • Evening and out-of-hours availability required during peak delivery.
  • Time off in lieu and workload arrangements to be agreed in advance.
  • A DBS check will be undertaken for this role.
