Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of the group-wide membership events calendar.
  • Act as the operational lead for smaller member events.
  • Help promote and deliver large-scale events such as awards ceremonies, expos, and festivals.
  • Coordinate event logistics, registration, invoicing, and delegate information.
  • Create and support marketing campaigns across email, newsletters, and social media.
  • Develop digital assets and marketing collateral.
  • Support graphic design and video content needs.
  • Act as a brand ambassador and ensure communications align with GBCC brand guidelines.

Key Skills:

  • Experience of planning and delivering events.
  • Experience in marketing, particularly social media marketing.
  • Experience of building and sending HTML marketing emails via an email platform.

Are you a creative, organised and energetic marketing professional who loves bringing events to life? GBCC is looking for an Events & Marketing Executive to join our Marketing & Events team and play a key role in supporting the delivery and promotion of our vibrant membership events calendar. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and thrives in a fast-paced environment. From helping to deliver high-profile events, awards and expos, to supporting social media, email marketing and branded content, this role offers the chance to make a visible impact across one of the region’s most influential business communities.

About the role

Working closely with the Events Manager, Senior Marketing & Event Executives and divisional leads across the group, you will help plan, market and deliver a wide range of member events. You will support both the operational and promotional side of the events calendar, ensuring events are well-organised, well-attended and deliver an excellent member experience. This is a hands-on role with plenty of scope to get involved in:

  • supporting the delivery of the group-wide membership events calendar
  • acting as the operational lead for smaller member events
  • helping to promote and deliver large-scale events such as awards ceremonies, expos and festivals
  • coordinating event logistics, registration, invoicing and delegate information
  • creating and supporting marketing campaigns across email, newsletters and social media
  • developing digital assets and marketing collateral
  • supporting graphic design and video content needs

What we are looking for

We are looking for someone with a genuine passion for marketing, events and digital channels, who brings both creativity and attention to detail. You will ideally have:

  • experience of planning and delivering events
  • experience in marketing, particularly social media marketing
  • experience of building and sending HTML marketing emails via an email platform
  • strong written and verbal communication skills
  • excellent planning, organisational and interpersonal skills
  • confidence using Microsoft Office and other systems
  • the ability to manage your time effectively, work proactively and take ownership of tasks
  • experience using graphic design and video editing tools such as Canva, Photoshop, CapCut or similar.

What else you need to know

This role will involve some flexibility, including evening and early morning working approximately 3–6 times per month, for which time off in lieu will be given. A full current driving licence would be advantageous.
