Hybrid If the role is hybrid/ office based specify location: Wokingham Duration of assignment: 6 monthsRole description: We are looking to hire a Product Owner to take accountability for the End User Computing (EUC) and Digital Workplace Services (DWS) consisting of laptops, desktops, peripherals, printers, tablets, and mobile phones to name but a few. The role will see you own the lifecycle management around these products, working with vendors to make informed selection decisions, optimizing our client hardware, and managing client s asset information including supporting the rollout of EUC Devices and Azure Virtual Desktops across our client organization. You will be responsible for creating the vision and goals to ensure the success of the products, taking ownership over the prioritization of the workload, requirement gathering from stakeholders to understand user needs, evaluating the performance of current tools, and identifying and implementing tools where necessary, while gaining buy in from the business through showcasing progress made. Key responsibilities:Taking responsibility for communicating the product vision, roadmap and goal in a way that is consumable by stakeholders and development teamsCreating, managing, and prioritizing the Product backlog and proposed roadmap with value metrics that allow the product to launch, improving or evolving in alignment with the business objectives or customer needs and product goal and visionDefining and refining requirements of the Product to ensure continual operational excellence for the Product, including ensuring the requirements are clear and deliverable by the development team, owning and managing budget, prioritizing based on value and progress against the roadmap, and the ongoing evolution and improvement of the Product to achieve continued operational excellenceTaking responsibility for stakeholder collaboration by actively engaging with stakeholders, acting as the storyteller of the Product gathering, feedback, insights and ensuring the Product meets both business and user requirements. This includes representing the needs and interests of the users of the Product through feedback analysis, identification of user problems and preferences and validation of the productMaking timely and informed decisions regarding feature prioritization, trade-offs, and adjustments to the Product roadmap to maximize value delivery, including managing conflicts and issues during the product lifecycle to deliver the maximum value for the Product and visionWorking closely with the development team, leading, coaching, and providing guidance across the team where applicable, to foster a collaborative environment to enhance productivity and achievement of goals Key skills/knowledge/experience: Demonstrated experience of product managementA deep level understanding of client device technologies and the architecture that underpins themExpert level understanding of Intune, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Application Packaging, MDM, CCaaS (e.g. Genesys)Knowledge of Azure, SQL, DEVOPS, M365, PowerAppsBusiness acumen in order to communicate effectively with business and IT in day-to-day operationsExperience of story mapping for customer/system/process journeysA deep understanding of metric creation to track value and learningsProduct Ownership, (Scrum or Safe would be desirable) experiencePerson specification: I.e., negotiating, client facing, communication, assertive, team leading/team member skills, supportive.
