Summary: The ETRM Business Analyst role focuses on supporting a commodities and energy trading firm by leveraging expertise in the European power market and ETRM systems. The position involves analyzing business requirements, functional specifications, and testing to ensure successful project delivery. The analyst will collaborate with stakeholders and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the trading processes. This is a hybrid role requiring three days in the office per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gathering and understanding business requirements to ensure successful delivery of business and technology changes.
- Analyzing and optimizing existing systems related to European power trading and sales.
- Providing a comprehensive understanding of the power deal lifecycle, including trade capture, risk management, scheduling, invoicing, and settlements.
- Engaging with key business stakeholders to define and document business requirements.
- Liaising with architecture colleagues across Sales IT and Trading IT domains.
- Participating in testing processes (unit, QA, and UAT) to ensure successful delivery and functionality of new systems.
- Conducting post-implementation reviews and identifying opportunities for system performance enhancement.
Key Skills:
- Deep knowledge of the European power market.
- Experience with ETRM systems and middle-back office processes.
- Strong business analysis skills.
- Proficiency in Azure DevOps.
- Demonstrable knowledge of traded derivative products for ETD and OTC.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and program managers.
