Summary: The Estates Manager role is a part-time position for a 12-month fixed-term contract based in Birmingham, focusing on the strategic and operational management of a diverse property portfolio within a prestigious retail business. The successful candidate will engage in asset management, lease negotiations, and maintenance coordination while reporting to the Head of Property. This role requires a proactive approach and strong stakeholder management skills to maximize the value of the estate. Key Responsibilities:
- Managing the operational and commercial property portfolio, including retail stores and sublet commercial and residential assets.
- Leading lease negotiations and property management activities to secure the best possible commercial outcomes.
- Identifying and delivering new income opportunities and lettings.
- Preparing financial appraisals and approval documents for property transactions.
- Supporting budget setting and monitoring delivery against property objectives.
- Coordinating planned and reactive maintenance with internal and external teams.
Key Skills:
- Strong knowledge of property and lease management principles.
- Proven experience in landlord and tenant matters, lease negotiations, and estate strategy.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Commercially focused and financially literate.
- MRICS qualification preferred but not essential.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently.
- A valid UK driving licence.
