Summary: The ERP Solutions Architect will support the delivery of the Oracle Finance programme by providing architectural solution design advice and recommendations. Key responsibilities include overseeing the design and implementation of various Oracle solutions, ensuring compliance with architectural principles, and facilitating data migration activities. The role requires collaboration with clients and partners to resolve outstanding issues and contribute to technical innovation. The position is based in Birmingham, West Midlands, and offers a competitive daily rate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of the Oracle Finance programme with architectural solution design advice.
  • Design and support delivery of Live Oracle Issues and a new Income Management solution.
  • Resolve conflicts identified by Oracle Risk Cloud and support the design of rectification work.
  • Facilitate the design, implementation, and cutover to a new Oracle instance.
  • Bridge Data Migration workstreams and functional consultants.
  • Collaborate with clients and SI partners to resolve defects and compliance issues.
  • Attend design authority meetings and contribute to design decisions.
  • Provide analysis and advice on design and configuration impacts to the Finance business area.
  • Review design documentation and provide input for re-implementation decisions.
  • Offer recommendations as a technology subject matter expert for technical innovation.
  • Act as the ERP contact for Design Authority and ensure coherent presentation of ERP changes.
  • Own the design for project time, labour, and expenditure captured into the GL.
  • Support data migration activities within the ERP team.
  • Provide input on outstanding Income Management solutions.
  • Lead the ERP element of RBAC design and testing through SIT and UAT.

Key Deliverables:

  • Support the delivery of the Oracle Finance programme, providing Oracle architectural solution design advice and recommendations into:
    • The design and support delivery of Live Oracle Issues
    • The design and implementation of a new Income Management solution;
    • The design of rectification work around segregation of duties work and resolving conflicts identified by Oracle Risk Cloud
    • Support for the design, implementation and cutover to a new Oracle instance as part of re-implementation
    • Provide the link between the Data Migration workstreams and functional consultants
    • Work with the client and SI partner to provide a path to resolution for outstanding defects, compliance issues and Oracle Service requests.
    • Attend design authority, reviewing and contributing to design decisions to help ensure they are in line with the clients architectural principles and that the architectural consistency and value for money in solution delivery is maintained.
    • Provide analysis and advice to the Finance business area in terms of the impact / consequences of design and configuration decisions.
    • Reviewing design documentation for re-implementation and providing input into any relevant design decisions.
    • Contribute recommendations as a technology subject matter expert to the delivery of technical innovation which gives advantage by utilising Oracle technology, for example in helping deliver cost savings.
    • Be the ERP contact for Design Authority. Ensuring that all ERP changes are presented in a coherent manner. Additionally ensuring that all other changes are impacted and DA documentation is updated with impacts.
    • Take ownership for the end to end solution for how project time/labour and expenditure is designed and implemented for the programme

    Expected Timeline:

    • Own the design for projects time, labour and expenditure to be captured into the GL
    • Be the key contact to support data migration related activities into the ERP team
    • Provide input and make recommendations on any outstanding IMS(Income Management solutions)
    • Provide technical assistance and assurance for the ERP Product owners, Sponsors & delivery lead
    • Lead the ERP element of RBAC design and testing through SIT and UAT to ensuring no conflicts for SoD
