SAP/ERP Finance Delivery Manager required for a large SAP Programme based in UK on a 6 Month Contract.


The ERP Finance Delivery Manager is responsible for the delivery of the ERP
Finance Workstream plan in consultation with the ERP Programme Management
Office (PMO). The post holder executes the project plan tasks and activities,
manages associated issues and risks, administers the ERP Finance Project Board
and the Voice of the Customer working group ensures deadlines are met, and
coordinates activities with various stakeholders including Finance colleagues, SAP s
ERP team, System Integration Partner, ERP Functional leads, including the Test
Manager, Data Migration Lead, Integration Lead, Change manager and Cutover
Manager.


The purpose of the role is to control, manage and deliver the ERP project plan and
change deliverables over the full project lifecycle utilising the systems and
governance arrangements within agreed timescales, quality and cost. The overall
focus will be on service quality and operational capability in conjunction with the
relevant management / operational teams, new processes, systems and ways of
working.


Main Duties & Responsibilities
1. Contribute to the delivery of the Finance Workstream of the ERP Programme in
accordance with the requirements set by the ERP Programme Board.
2. Ensuring that the plan put together by the business areas and data migration
stream leads, in conjunction with the systems integrator, is sound, complete, and
feasible to deliver.
3. On-going tracking and maintenance of plan progress in coordination with the
System Integrator PM;
4. Support the Finance Lead in the functional and technical system needs, by
supporting the implementation of SAP S/4HANA and through making
recommendations for improvements and enhancements to improve service
delivery.
5. Ensure that the ERP People and Transformation Team delivers on the functional
requirements as outlined in the functional requirements and have a strong
understanding of how it relates to their HR operations.
6. Manage and coordinate the workstream plan for the HR, Payroll, Health & Safety
and Expenses element of the ERP programme. Document (if appropriate) any
change controls and cross-dependencies across other workstreams. Ensuring
that the connected project work plans, schedules, resource plans and status
reports are prepared, executed, and monitored appropriately by all the solution
team members.
7. In consultation with the ERP PMO, produce high-quality documentation and
analysis for the ERP People and Transformation project using project
dashboards, GANTT Charts, Risk Register, and other documentation that
enables the People and Transformation Lead to be fully informed in their
decision-making.
8. Provide high quality project delivery to ensure the ERP Finance project is
delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
9. Write high quality reports for review by the ERP Finance Lead, efficiently
distilling complex risks and dependencies and highlighting key matters to ensure
that stakeholders involved in the decision-making processes can be fully aware
of any relevant information in their oversight of the project.
10. Provide ERP Finance Lead and other relevant parties with an analysis


Skills Required:



  • Significant experience of working in an ERP project delivery role within a complex organisation, preferably SAP S/4HANA.

  • Experience of setting up and managing governance arrangements within an ERP project or across a range of projects.

  • Experience of coordinating activities and tasks within an ERP project

  • Ability to think strategically, applying professional expertise to embed change and deliver short to long-term value for stakeholders.

  • How to plan and deliver a project, and manage risk, resources and interdependencies to deliver outcomes.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to operate effectively across organisational boundaries; ability to establish and maintain effective teams and partnerships and working relationships in a multi-cultural environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity.

  • Excellent communication skills, including ability to present and defend difficult positions to senior officials.
