Summary: The ERP Project Manager role involves leading the initial phase of an ERP transformation project for an organization in Sheffield. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the initial phase of an ERP programme, defining scope, vision, and roadmap
- Engage with business stakeholders to gather and document requirements
- Support and drive the ERP vendor selection process (RFI/RFP, evaluation, due diligence)
- Establish governance structures, timelines, and delivery plans
- Identify risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies early in the life cycle
- Work closely with senior leadership to align ERP strategy with business objectives
- Provide recommendations on ERP platforms, architecture, and implementation approach
Key Skills:
- Proven experience delivering ERP programmes in a Project Manager capacity, ideally in a public sector setting
- Strong track record in early-stage ERP (pre-selection/discovery phase)
- Experience running ERP vendor selection processes
- Ability to operate at both strategic and hands-on levels
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience across finance, operations, HR, payroll systems is desirable
- Familiarity with major ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.) is advantageous
