Summary: The ERP Consultant / Implementation Project Manager role involves leading an ERP transformation for a rental business, focusing on aligning industry-specific processes with the new system. The position requires collaboration with internal teams and the ERP vendor to ensure a smooth implementation and effective data migration. The consultant will oversee project management, communication, and quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle. This is a contract position based in Bristol with a hybrid working arrangement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end ERP implementation, ensuring alignment with rental industry processes.
- Define milestones, deliverables, and success criteria, maintaining a structured approach to the project.
- Collaborate with the ERP vendor to identify customizations and additional modules to optimize business operations.
- Ensure the project stays within budget and scope, reporting progress to senior stakeholders.
- Work closely with internal teams (development, finance, rental operations, and inventory management) to gather requirements and drive system adoption.
- Manage engagement with the ERP vendor to ensure seamless data migration, testing, and go-live support.
- Ensure the ERP system effectively supports rental contract lifecycle management, asset tracking, maintenance scheduling, pricing models, and billing.
- Oversee data migration, ensuring a seamless transition of rental agreements, asset histories, and financial records.
- Implement best practices for fleet utilization, equipment tracking, and service management.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks, ensuring smooth project execution.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess project success and improve future implementations.
- Maintain adherence to industry compliance, governance, and best practices.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience managing ERP implementations within the rental, leasing, or asset management sector.
- Strong understanding of rental business operations, including contract management, recurring billing, and asset lifecycle management.
- Experience across the full ERP project lifecycle, from requirements gathering to system configuration and change management.
