Summary: The ERP Programme Manager at RIBA will lead the implementation of a new ERP solution to modernize operations and improve efficiency across the organization. This role involves overseeing governance, planning, supplier management, and stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle. The position is full-time, based in London with a hybrid working arrangement, and is offered on an 18-month fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving technology change initiatives within RIBA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define, oversee and deliver RIBA’s new ERP implementation programme
- Work with senior leaders to agree programme outcomes and ensure delivery against organisational goals
- Manage procurement and contracting for ERP systems and implementation partners
- Oversee suppliers and internal teams to deliver agreed outputs on time, within budget and to quality standards
- Drive process review and improvement, ensuring effective change management and staff adoption of new ways of working
- Manage programme governance, reporting, risks, dependencies and a complex multi-stream budget
- Ensure compliance with quality, data protection, cyber security and RIBA’s technology standards
- Line manages an ERP Process Analyst and champion collaboration, engagement and RIBA’s organisational values
Key Skills:
- Significant experience in delivering combined ERP or standalone HR / Finance implementation programmes within complex organisations
- Demonstrable experience in running technology change initiatives using formal project and programme methodologies
- Significant experience in working with suppliers to agree deliverables, remain on plan, address problems and hold to account for successful delivery
- Strong experience in providing governance information and running oversight boards led by senior staff
- Demonstrable experience in managing complex budgets, forecasting spends and keeping within allocated values
- Experience in communicating with and supporting a complex workforce through large scale process and ways of working change
- Qualification in one or more change methodologies such as PRINCE2 or MSP
- Qualification in one or more product development methods such as Scrum or DSDM
- Skilled in defining programme benefits and using success criteria to materially demonstrate delivery
- Experience of running programmes of work alongside other organisational change activity and mapping dependencies and resource needs across the whole
- Experience in working with ERP related systems such as recruitment portals and online payment platforms
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft productivity tools including Office, Teams, SharePoint and Project
- Understanding of database structures, data quality improvement and migration tasks
- Broad awareness of HR and Financial practices and legal standards
- Line management and task allocation in both direct and matrix models
- Experience of operating within a large organisation run on a Council, Committees and Staff model

About the Role
RIBA are at the beginning of an organisation wide portfolio of technology change covering Digital, CRM, Enterprise Resourcing Planning and core Productivity tools. Fundamental to this transformation is a new ERP solution (one or more platforms covering Finance, Payroll, HR and Procurement) which will modernise current working practices, realise efficiencies and underpin future reporting and planning. The ERP Programme Manager will lead from procurement through to successful delivery one of RIBA’s most critical systems programmes.
