Summary: Next Ventures is seeking an ERP Financial Controller for a contract role in London, requiring extensive experience in ERP systems and financial controls. Key Responsibilities:
- Implement Chart of Accounts structures and define a robust Financial Controls matrix within an ERP implementation project.
- Test the effectiveness of defined controls.
- Collaborate with IT, accounting, and operations teams for seamless integration of financial processes.
- Assist in configuring and customizing the ERP system for financial reporting and analysis needs.
- Develop and maintain documentation of financial processes, system configurations, and user procedures.
- Provide training and support to finance staff on ERP system usage.
- Identify and troubleshoot system issues with IT and the ERP vendor.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data within the ERP system.
- Develop and generate financial reports and analyses for management decision-making.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize financial processes and enhance system functionality.
- Support internal and external audits with necessary documentation.
Key Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in finance and accounting, focusing on ERP systems.
- Experience implementing and managing ERP financial modules (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, BI tools).
- Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, ACCA) is a bonus.
