Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer expert advice on employee relations topics, including performance management, conduct, grievances, absences, and disciplinary matters
  • Manage sensitive or complex cases with professionalism, sound judgement, and discretion
  • Coach managers to build confidence and capability while reinforcing accountability and consistency
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies and relevant employment laws, collaborating closely with Legal and HR teams as needed
  • Drive employee engagement and support organisational change initiatives from an ER perspective
  • Participate in reviewing and improving HR policies, processes, and ER practices to strengthen overall capability

Key Skills:

  • Experience in employee relations or employment law
  • Experience within financial services or another highly regulated environment
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Pragmatic, solutions-oriented approach with the ability to manage sensitive matters confidentially

I’m partnering with a leading global financial services firm to appoint an Employee Relations Specialist on an initial 6-month contract, supporting its growing European business. This is a great opportunity to join a high-performing HR team within a well-respected organisation as it continues to expand its footprint.

This ER specialist plays a key role providing expert guidance to managers across the full employee lifecycle – advising on complex ER matters, strengthening manager capability, and ensuring consistent people practices in a highly regulated environment.
