Summary: The role of Interim ER Business Partner is a 3-6 month fixed-term contract based in St Johns Wood, requiring full-time on-site presence. Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering a High-Quality ER Advisory Service
  • Provide professional, practical advice and guidance to line managers on employee relations matters
  • Coach and support managers, offering timely and accessible first-line support on people issues
  • Take full ownership of ER cases, including capability, disciplinary, and grievance processes
  • Attend hearings and tribunals as required, preparing documentation and supporting managers throughout
  • Act as an escalation point for HR support teams
  • Identify emerging trends and proactively recommend solutions
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation and best practice
  • Collaborating with HR and Business Partners
  • Work closely with HR colleagues to ensure a consistent, customer-focused service

Oakleaf are currently partnering with a national business to secure an experienced and proactive Employee Relations Business Partner to act as a trusted partner to managers and colleagues across the service. This role is pivotal in delivering a high-quality, pragmatic, and responsive employee relations (ER) service, ensuring managers are supported and equipped to manage people matters effectively.

The successful candidate will be an excellent coach with strong HR expertise, capable of managing a wide range of ER cases from end to end. These include capability, disciplinary, grievance, absence management, flexible working requests, ACAS conciliations, tribunal claims, and appeals.
