Information About The Role The Compliance and Assurance Pillar is a department situated in the Counter Terrorism Policing Headquarters (CTPHQ), which supports the CT Policing Network, Specialist Operations business groups within the MPS and pillars within CTPHQ. The Equality Impact Assessment Unit is responsible for the strategic management and tactical delivery of CTP’s legal obligations as set out by the Equality legislation. This includes research and tactical projects and to facilitate a program of continuous improvement. The role holder will ensure Equality Impact Assessments comply with current legislation, whilst still enabling effective collaboration with CTP’s partner organisations.
Other responsibilities include risk management of remediation actions and plans, policy management and advice and supporting EIA training.
Responsibilities The post holder will be required to do the following:
- Provide expert advice and guidance on all matters relating to the exchange of information in accordance with the relevant legislation and policy.
- Advise the business regarding the completion of Equality Impact Assessments (EIA) as required under Equality legislation.
- Quality assure all EIAs and ensure any recommendations identified are implemented and/or mitigated.
- Conduct audits of completed EIAs and support annual compliance review and controls testing.
- Support maintenance of Equality risks and controls on the risk register.
- Record and track risk remediation plans.
- Support communications initiatives which raise awareness of changes and developments to policies.
- Maintain intranet pages for documents and queries.
- There may be some travel across the CT Policing Network.
