Summary: NSB Recruitment is looking for an experienced Environmental Site Support professional for a 3-year contract in a carbon capture and storage initiative project. The role requires daily on-site presence and involves working closely with the Environmental Manager to ensure compliance with environmental regulations. Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Environmental Manager in implementing site inspections and monitoring the onshore programme.
- Carrying out routine on-site environmental checks in line with the Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP) and the Register of Environmental Actions and Commitments (REAC).
- Supporting the identification and reporting of deviations from approved environmental procedures, ensuring appropriate documentation and follow-up actions are recorded.
- Providing on-the-ground support to ensure environmental mitigation measures are effectively implemented by contractors.
- Assisting in the preparation of site reports and updates for regulatory bodies such as Natural Resources Wales (NRW) and local authorities under the direction of the Environmental Manager.
- Liaising with specialist environmental consultants as required for specific tasks under the supervision of the Environmental Manager.
Key Skills:
- Minimum 4–5 years of environmental monitoring experience on oil & gas or major infrastructure construction sites.
- Located within commuting distance of the Liverpool area.
- Strong understanding of site-based environmental controls and compliance monitoring.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Relevant degree in Environmental Science, Marine Biology, or a related field.
- Professional certification or membership in a recognised environmental body is desirable.
