Summary: The Environment Manager role focuses on overseeing non-production environments within a large-scale financial services organization undergoing a technology transformation. The position emphasizes automation to enhance efficiency and reduce manual processes while managing both modern cloud platforms and legacy systems. Key Responsibilities:
- Take end-to-end ownership of all non-production environments, spanning development, testing, staging and pre-production.
- Create clarity and predictability around environment availability, refresh cycles and usage across multiple delivery streams.
- Act as point of contact for dependencies or incidents arise.
- Identify automation opportunities - replacement of heavy manual processes
- Core relationship with Architecture and DevOps teams to enable automation
- Define and align governance and controls with change and release practices
- Oversight of compliance
- Collaboration across multiple technical teams including testing, Engineering and Delivery teams
- Core stakeholder management acting as the bridge between technical and non-technical audiences

Evironment Manager urgently needed by a well reknowned Financial Services customer.
I am partnered with a large-scale financial services organisation that are continuing their Technology Transformation and are at a critical point of their journey.
I am seeking an experienced Environment Manager with core experience in bringing core structure and stability, utilising automation to replace manual processes wherever possible.
This role will require a deep background in modern cloud platforms whilst also overseeing Legacy enterprise systems. You will take ownership of how engineering environments are planned, refreshed and managed. The successful candidate will make a significant impact on efficiency by reducing the need for manual processes and instead embed automation and DevOps ways of working.
