Summary: The Enterprise Solution Architect is responsible for creating and maintaining architectural documentation and standards, collaborating with various stakeholders to develop cloud architecture concepts, and leading workstream architects. This role requires a strong background in cloud solutions, operational processes, and aligning technical solutions with business objectives. The architect will also mentor other architects and act as a change agent towards cloud-native solutions. The position offers flexibility in working arrangements, either remote or hybrid.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain architectural documentation, standards, and best practices to ensure consistency and facilitate knowledge sharing across the organization
- Collaborate with leaders, architects, developers and engineers to develop the program’s overall architecture concepts, including option analysis and tradeoffs that properly balance both IT and business constraints
- Create and oversee the development of cloud target and reference architectures, standards and patterns, principles and best practices
- Assist with establishing reusable Cloud solution patterns (services, infrastructure, integration, monitoring, security and application) for solving reoccurring business/technology problems
- Lead the program’s workstream architects and work directly with other architects to mentor, guide, and evaluate them on cloud techniques, best practices, and desired or required patterns
- Act as a change agent for the program and enterprise on our journey toward cloud native
- Define and design operational processes to govern, manage and operate cloud services at scale
- Translate business needs and objectives into technical solutions, ensuring that IT infrastructure and applications support the organization's strategic goals
- Align solutions with company's business goals, objectives, and Enterprise Architecture
- Work with vendors and do independent research to architect and design state of the art cloud solutions

Key Skills:
- 8+ years in Business Analysis, System Design and Development, Systems Engineering, or Technical Architecture; to include 3 years direct experience working within an Enterprise Architect role
- In-depth knowledge of two or more architectural domains (application, infrastructure, integration, and/or security architecture)
- Experience as a senior level architect working on significant enterprise change initiatives
- Experience as a program level architect and leading other architects
- Proficiency with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure
- Experience in managing, supporting and operating applications on AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform
- Proven experience in designing and supporting scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud solutions
- Strong knowledge and understanding of FinOps concepts, framework, principles and capabilities
- Experience with modern API architectures and best practices
- Strong business acumen and excellent communication skills for presenting ideas and achieving consensus
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Experience using tools such as Terraform
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, including VPNs, load balancers, and firewalls
- Proficiency in modeling architectures using industry-standard tools like ArchiMate, Visio, or Miro
- Familiarity with cloud security principles, data protection, and compliance frameworks like GDPR, HIPAA, or SOC 2
- Self-learner and ability to work independently
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex technical challenges

Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of SAFe Agile Framework and TOGAF principles.
Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, and/or Google Cloud Professional Architect
Experience solutioning hybrid cloud or multi-cloud environments. AWS and Google Cloud Platform preferred.
Experience with cloud monitoring and logging tools such as Datadog, Splunk, or Dynatrace and integrating these tools into IT Service Management platforms
Proficiency with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes
