Summary: We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Security Architect to join our team in Brussels, responsible for designing and evolving enterprise-wide security architecture frameworks. This role involves defining security strategies, overseeing implementation, and acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strategic mindset and a passion for embedding security in digital transformation initiatives. Strong experience in cybersecurity and security architecture is essential for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and maintain the enterprise security architecture strategy and roadmap
- Develop security reference architectures, standards, and design principles
- Ensure security-by-design across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments
- Align security architecture with business objectives and risk appetite
- Conduct architecture reviews and risk assessments for major initiatives
- Integrate cybersecurity, data protection, and resilience requirements into enterprise architecture
- Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and DevOps teams to embed secure design practices
- Monitor emerging threats, technologies, and regulatory developments
Key Skills:
- 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with significant experience in security architecture
- Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) and security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, SABSA, etc.)
- Experience with cloud security (Azure, AWS, or GCP), zero trust, IAM, and network security architectures
- Solid understanding of risk management and governance principles
- Experience in regulated environments (financial services, public sector, critical infrastructure) is a plus
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Fluency in English (French or Dutch is an asset)
