Lithium3 require an Enterprise Data Governance Delivery Lead to re-ignite our clients data governance function and be responsible for ensuring that data across the organisation is trusted, well-managed, and strategically aligned to business objectives. The client is preparing for a complex large ERP (SAP) upgrade and all deliverables will have one eye on this as they take the opportunity to consolidate applications, clean and use data more effectively and improve business processes.
Reporting directly to the Chief Data Officer (CDO), you will own the data stewardship framework, manage the delivery of data catalogues and governance tooling, and partner closely with business and technology leaders to embed governance principles into the enterprise data strategy and operating model.
The situation of the client is they have 2 Data Stewards and the Head of DG moved internally late last year. They have the foundations of mature Data Governance but without someone driving this in the Lead position, the DG framework does need picking up and evolving, especially with the ERP transformation in mind.
Key deliverables will be:
- ERP Programme Preparation – exec engagement
- Re-ignite DG framework. Councils and forums have fallen by the wayside
- Re-establish and embed DG ownership
- Model Data Catalogue delivery (ERP related)
- Data Quality strategy, planning, requirements gathering
We require someone experienced with complex environments, ideally dealt with ERP upgrade preparation from a DG perspective and most definitely someone who can really engage the business with understanding the value of a strong DG framework. We don’t need a policy maker only – you will need to drive DG improvement to embed it into the business, so they feel the value.
