Summary: This role is for an Enterprise Business Architect with a focus on the retail sector, specifically regarding international expansion into Europe. The position requires a strong background in architecture frameworks and the ability to engage with senior stakeholders. The architect will assess business impacts and provide actionable recommendations while working primarily remotely with some travel required. The contract is outside IR35 and offers a competitive daily rate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand the impact of proposed expansion into Europe.
- Engage with senior business and technical stakeholders.
- Conduct business impact assessments and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Develop business architecture including governance and operating models.
- Address international expansion challenges.
- Travel 1-2 days per week within the UK.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect within Retail or Hospitality.
- Strong background in architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman, or similar).
- Experience in business impact assessment.
- Business architecture experience including governance and operating models.
- Ability to engage with senior stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel.

Outstanding contract opportunity to join this famous and well-loved retailer on a contract basis as an Enterprise Business Architect focusing on understanding the impact of a proposed expansion into Europe.
You’ll need the following skills and experience:
- Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect within Retail or Hospitality
- Strong background in architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman, or similar)
- Proven ability to engage with senior business and technical stakeholders
- Experience in business impact assessment and translating findings into clear, actionable recommendations
- Business architecture experience inc. governance, operating models, and international expansion challenges
- A willingness to travel 1-2 days per week (UK)
£550-£700 per day OUTSIDE IR35, 3 months rolling. 70% remote & London
