Summary: The Enterprise Architect role focuses on supporting the implementation of a new Configuration Management Database (CMDB) built on BMC Helix in Manchester. The position requires expertise in Service Management to stabilize the CMDB design and guide architecture decisions. The architect will collaborate across various teams and is expected to work on-site 2-3 days a week for an initial 13-week period, with potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stabilize the CMDB design and ensure alignment with Design Authority governance.
- Lead service management centric architecture decisions during the CMDB implementation.
- Provide enterprise perspective and expertise on future enterprise estate, including Observability Tooling and Self-healing tools.
- Act as the architectural bridge between Service Management, Infrastructure, Networks, Observability, Product & Engineering tribes, and partner organizations.
Key Skills:
- Exceptional Service Management experience.
- Tangible experience with CMDB implementations (e.g., Helix, ServiceNow).
- Strong architectural skills and ability to guide design decisions.
- Experience working collaboratively across multiple teams.
Salary (Rate): £750.00 daily

My client is implementing a new Configuration Management Database (CMDB) built on BMC Helix and they need an Enterprise Architect, with exceptional Service Management experience, to support. I need someone who can stabilise the CMDB design, ensure alignment with Design Authority governance, and lead service management centric architecture decisions during the implementation. Someone who can provide enterprise lense and provide expertise around future enterprise estate to include Observability Tooling and Self healing tools. Tangible experience of a previous CMDB implementation (Helix/ServiceNow etc) would be advantageous. You'll act as the architectural bridge between Service Management, Infrastructure, Networks, Observability, Product & Engineering tribes, and partner organisations. Initially for 13 weeks, but will extend and needed on site in Manchester 2/3 days a week due to criticality of project. The role sits inside and rate will be £700-750pd
